“Toward Sustainable and Resilient Smart Future Technologies”
The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt (represented by the Council of Future Studies and Risk Management) and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport hold the International Conference for Future Studies and Risk Management at the AASTMT headquarters in Alexandria.
The challenges of recent years — from the COVID-19 pandemic, to the Russia–Ukraine crisis, to regional conflict in the Gulf, alongside the threats of climate change — underscore the necessity of developing sustainable and resilient systems. These systems must draw on future and emerging technologies across every field, a target now shared by all sectors of society at national and international levels.
FTSRS addresses the development and application of emerging technologies that contribute to sustainable development and resilient societies. It brings together work on intelligent systems, digital technologies, sustainable energy, environmental sustainability, smart agriculture, resilient infrastructure, advanced sensing, healthcare technologies, industrial systems, mobility, and space applications. The conference welcomes original research, technological developments, case studies, and practical applications demonstrating how future technologies can improve efficiency, sustainability, security, resilience, and quality of life.
Identify emerging future technologies across different sectors and fields.
Assess the effect of implementing these emerging technologies on the future of targeted and related sectors.
Examine the ability of these technologies to face global challenges.
Anticipate the expected challenges and threats during the implementation of these new technologies.
Propose road maps with realistic time frames to implement these emerging technologies.
Foster networking and cooperation at local, regional, and international levels.
FTSRS provides a forward-looking view of different sectors based on emerging technologies that will shape the future of the world. It helps scientific communities identify the state of the art and recent technologies across sectors that may need further research and development before implementation, or that require optimization under different operating conditions. Within the context of sustainability and resilience, integrating different emerging technologies can offer new solutions — promising research directions for future studies across many fields.
